Travelers across Canada are breathing a sigh of relief this morning after WestJet and its pilot union reached a last-minute deal to avoid strike action.
WestJet flights from St. John’s International Airport will be resuming this afternoon, with Swoop expected to be back to normal operations on Saturday.

The airline says they are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement that improves wages, job security and working conditions.
While WestJet begins efforts to return to its normal operations, passengers are asked to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
